Business email on a Hostinger domain
How to use a domain registered or hosted at Hostinger with SyncGaze Mail. You change Hostinger's default mail records in hPanel and add SyncGaze's. It takes about 10 minutes.
The records SyncGaze needs
Open dashboard.syncgaze.in → Domains → your domain. It lists these records with your exact values and a Copy button next to each. The table shows what they look like for yourcompany.com.
| Type | Name / Host | Value | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| TXT | _syncgaze-verify | syncgaze-verify=… (from your dashboard) | Proves you own the domain |
| MX | @ | mail.syncgaze.in · priority 10 | Delivers your mail to SyncGaze |
| TXT | @ | v=spf1 mx a:mail.syncgaze.in ip4:157.173.222.40 ~all | SPF: lets SyncGaze send as you |
| TXT | dkim._domainkey | v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=… (your own key, from the dashboard) | DKIM: signs your mail |
| TXT | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:dmarc@syncgaze.in | DMARC: stops people faking your address |
Only one MX provider and one SPF recordDelete any other MX records, so mail doesn't keep going to your old provider. A domain can have only one TXT record starting with v=spf1. If one already exists, replace it, or merge the two.
Step by step in Hostinger hPanel
- Sign in at hpanel.hostinger.com and open Domains. Click Manage next to your domain.
- In the left menu, open DNS / Nameservers and stay on the DNS records tab.
- Find Hostinger's mail records,
mx1.hostinger.comandmx2.hostinger.com, and click Delete on each. - Under Manage DNS records, choose type MX. Enter Name
@, Points tomail.syncgaze.in, Priority10. Click Add Record. - Choose type TXT and add the verification record (Name
_syncgaze-verify). - Find the existing TXT record
v=spf1 include:_spf.mail.hostinger.com ~all. Edit its value to the SyncGaze SPF value, or delete it and add the new one. - Add the DKIM TXT record (Name
dkim._domainkey) and the DMARC TXT record (Name_dmarc). If Hostinger already has a_dmarcrecord, edit it instead.
In the Name field, type only the part before your domain (@, _dmarc, dkim._domainkey). Hostinger adds .yourcompany.com for you.
Hostinger-specific problems
- Hostinger Email stops receiving. That's expected. Once the MX points at SyncGaze, new mail arrives in SyncGaze instead. Move old messages first with the migration tool if you need them.
- Records show "Name: yourcompany.com.yourcompany.com". You typed the full domain in the Name field. Delete the record and add it again using
@or the short name. - Domain at Hostinger, website elsewhere (or the other way round). Edit DNS wherever the domain's nameservers point. hPanel shows them under DNS / Nameservers.
Verify and test
- Wait 5–30 minutes after saving. Most changes show up within minutes, but some take up to a few hours.
- Go back to dashboard.syncgaze.in → Domains and click Verify. Each record turns green when SyncGaze can see it.
- Run a free check on mail.syncgaze.in/check. It reads your MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and explains anything still missing.
- Send a test email to a Gmail address and open Show original. It should show
SPF: PASS,DKIM: PASSandDMARC: PASS.
